Seymour Daily Tribune February 22, 2002 Walter Brock Walter Brock, 68, Brownstown, died at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at Hospice and Palliative Care of Louisville. He had been ill for several weeks. Mr. Brock was a member of Old Pentecostal Church of God, Asher, Ky. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a retired concrete mason. Born Jan. 22, 1934, at Leslie, Ky., he was a son of John and Susie Hoskins Brock. On Feb. 6, 1999, in Brownstown, he married Josephine Martin, who survives. Other survivors include three sons, Tony Brock, Brownstown, and Terry (Bridget) Brock and Todd (Sheila) Brock, both of Louisville; two stepsons, Mike Hurley, Brownstown, and Brad Hurley, Columbus; two daughters, Tina (Brack) Sluder, Seymour, and Tonya (Ken) Lake, Fort White, Ky.; two stepdaughters, Carol Brown, Brownstown, and Barbara Barlow, Seymour; four brothers, I.G. (Anna) Brock, Salem, Clyde Brock, Brownstown, Bige (Tonya) Brock, London, Ohio, and Cecil (Gloria) Brock, Bedford; four sisters, Virgie (Tom) Allman, Rosie Stuckwisch and Cathy Verba, all of Brownstown, and Goldie (Richard) Goen, Norman; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Dempsey Brock. The Rev. Gary Morning and the Rev. Michael Hogg will conduct services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Brownstown. Burial will be in Weddleville Cemetery, Medora. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Brownstown Christian Church.
