Geraldine Brown

Geraldine Brown, 69, North Vernon, died at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at her residence.
Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and mowing the grass.
Born March 9, 1933, in Middletown, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Alex Turner and Parilee Griffith Turner, who survives in North Vernon. On Dec. 31, 1953, in Jeffersonville, she married James L. Brown and he died in 1985.
She also is survived by a son, Glenn Brown, Middletown, Ohio; a daughter, Teresa Brown, North Vernon; three grandsons, Christopher Durham and Jason Brown, both of Nesbet, Miss., and Nathan Durham, Memphis, Tenn.; two granddaughters, Jodie James and Jennifer Luttrell, both of Middletown, Ohio; two brothers, Eugene Turner, North Vernon, and Eldon Turner, Seven Mile, Ohio; and nine great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Turner.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dove-Sharp and Rudicel Funeral Home, North Vernon. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery, Vernon.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
