Margaret LaVonne Scott Brown

Margaret LaVonne Scott Brown, 89, Brownstown, died at 10:10 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2006, at Covered Bridge Health Campus, Seymour.
Mrs. Brown was a member of Brownstown Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and previous owner of Scott Sales & Service in Brownstown. 
Born Nov. 11, 1916, in Medora, she was a daughter of Benjamin Gilbert and Adrian Heck Gilbert. On July 20, 1935, in Greensburg, she married Ralph Scott, who died Dec. 25, 1989. On Nov. 14, 1922, she married Frank Brown, who died April 13, 1996.
Survivors include three sons, Ronald L. Scott, Santa Ana, Calif., Larry D. Scott, Brownstown, and Max D. Scott, Indianapolis; two sisters, Phyllis Copeland and Dorothy Demming, both of Florida; and three grandchildren, Ryan Scott and Nathan Scott, both of Brownstown, and Kevin Scott, Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Gilbert.
Scott Erwin will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Thursday at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Brownstown. Burial will take place at Clearspring Cemetery, Norman.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Brownstown Baptist Church.
