Seymour Daily Tribune - March 14, 2006 Theora A. Bush Aug. 27, 1931 – March 12, 2006 Theora A. Bush, 74, Seymour, died at 9:35 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2006, at her residence, under the tender, loving care of her family. Mrs. Bush was a member of First Baptist Church and founding member of Crusader’s Sunday School Class. She was secretary and bookkeeper of her husband’s business and formerly was secretary of Gerwin Shoe Factory. She had formerly served as a 4-H leader and Cub Scout leader and was very active in Seymour Little League and the parent-teacher association for many years at Seymour-Redding Elementary School. Born Aug. 27, 1931, in Seymour, she was the only daughter of Charles and Carrie Belle Blauvelt Holmes. A resident of Seymour all of her life, on Aug. 15, 1953, in Seymour, she married Bernie J. Bush, who survives. Others survivors include three children, Darlene Bowen, Indianapolis, and Debbie Bush and Dan Bush, both of Seymour, and a son-in-law, Thomas A. Bowen Jr. She was preceded in death by her only brother, John R.S. Holmes, who was killed during the Korean War. The Rev. Bruce Cochran and the Rev. Larry Tingle will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, 505 Community Drive, Seymour. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Voss and Sons Funeral Home, Voss Chapel, Seymour, and from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the church. Memorials may be given to the church or donor’s choice.
