Seymour Daily Tribune February 25, 2002 Frances Mann Carr Frances Mann Carr, 89, Seymour, died at 5:54 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at Memorial Hospital, Seymour. Mrs. Carr was a member of Freetown Methodist Church. She moved back to Seymour from Maryland in 1969. Born Aug. 16, 1912, at Freetown, she was a daughter of Curtis Mann and Ethel Tinch Mann. On Dec. 10, 1938, in Seymour, she married Doyle W. Carr, who died Nov. 22, 1996. Survivors include eight nieces and nephews, Janis Newton, South Carolina, Polly Matlock, Greensburg, Carol Carr, Edinburgh, Bill Bevers, Seymour, John Mann, Tom Mann and Joseph Mann, all of Lexington, Ky., and George Mann, North Carolina; 19 great-nieces and –nephews; a sister, Jean Mann Marx, South Carolina; a brother, Jack T. Mann, Lexington, Ky.; and a sister-in-law, Minta Mann, Lexington, Ky. She was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma M. Hauenschild. The Rev. Eugene Gladney will conduct services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service, Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from noon until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to donor’s choice.
