Seymour Daily Tribune February 9, 2007 Edna M. Cockerham Edna M. Cockerham, 79, Freetown, died at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007, at the Lutheran Community Home, Seymour. Mrs. Cockerham was a homemaker. She had worked at Gerwin Shoe Factory and later as bookkeeper for Cockerham Auto Parts. She was an avid sports fan, and she enjoyed bowling and attending sports at Brownstown Central Community Schools. She had attended Surprise United Methodist Church. Born March 5, 1927, in Jackson County, she was a daughter of Ray and Jessie (Anderson) Lewis. On Sept. 10, 1949, in Jackson County, she married Walter Lee Cockerham, who survives. Other survivors include two sons, Tony (Shari) Cockerham, Seymour, and Brad Cockerham, Freetown; one brother, Larry (Shirley) Lewis, Seymour; two sisters, Carolyn Roberts, Cortland, and Ruth Hohenstreiter, Surprise; two grandchildren, Cameron Cockerham and Mallory Cockerham. She was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Dale Roberts and Robert Hohenstreiter. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home, Brownstown. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today and from noon until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Brownstown Central Athletic Department.
