Seymour Tribune Mary Frances (Hoffman) Cottingham 1932 - 2008 Mary Frances Cottingham, 76, Crothersville, passed away at 12:48 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008, at Hospice Inpatient Facility, Columbus. Mrs. Cottingham was a 1950 graduate of Paris Crossing High School. She formerly attended Immanuel Missionary Church and was a woman of faith and prayer. Mary was a lifelong homemaker, who enjoyed her flowers, pets, gardening, the outdoors and all of God's creation. She also loved and enjoyed her grandchildren very much. Born Jan. 19, 1932, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Albert and Dora Hess Hoffman, both of whom preceded her in death. On July 3, 1954, in Uniontown, she married Eugene L. Cottingham, who survives in Crothersville. Other survivors include one daughter, Karen (Michael) Maschino, Commiskey; one son, Max (Nancy) Cottingham, Crothersville; four grandsons, Derrick (Kenda) Maschino, Mark Maschino, Ben Maschino and Mack Cottingham, all of Commiskey; and one granddaughter, Charity Cottingham, Crothersville. She was preceded in death by two infant sons, Michael Eugene and Samuel Wayne Cottingham; one brother, Clarence Hoffman; and one sister, Violet Mousa. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Adams Funeral Home, Crothersville. Burial will take place at Cana Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
