Robert L. Courtney

Robert L. Courtney, 70, Underwood, died Monday, March 4, 2002, in Tucson, Ariz.
Mr. Courtney was retired from ICI (formerly the Army Ammunition Plant) in Charlestown. He was a member of the Arizona Ultra Light Society and the Master Mule Skinners of the Grand Canyon Trails.
Born Aug. 20, 1931, in Clark County, he was the son of Ivan and Dorothy Lukenbille Courtney. He married Helen Chanley Courtney, who preceded him in death. He married Shirley Walker Baxter Courtney, who also preceded him in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Elizabeth Ann Morgan, Philpot, Ky., Phyllis Lee Brown, Huntsville, Ala., and Karen Louise Courtney, Las Vegas; a sister, Betty Fletcher, Tucson, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
John Gillespie will conduct services at 2 p.m. Sunday at Stewart Funeral Home, Scottsburg. Burial will be in Barnes Cemetery, Nabb.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and after 9 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
