Charles D. Crane

Charles D. Crane, 69, Seymour, died at 11:52 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at Memorial Hospital, Seymour.
Mr. Crane was a 1951 graduate of Shields High School, where he was an outstanding senior and class president. He retired from Cummins Engine in 1987 after 20 years. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 655, Seymour.
Born July 27, 1932, in Seymour, he was a son of Noah Crane and Ruth Croucher Crane Akins, who both preceded him in death. On May 3, 1952, in Seymour, he married Patricia G. Woodruff and she survives.
He also is survived by a daughter, Margery R. (Philip) Trimpe, Seymour; three sons, Larry J. (Lynette) Crane, Florida, John C. (Lauralee) Crane, Seymour, and Barry L. (Amber) Crane, Bedford; and five grandchildren, Bradley Trimpe, Matthew Trimpe, Jessica Crane, Mickayla Crane and Alyce Crane.
He also was preceded by a brother, Donald J. Crane.
The Rev. Andrew Currao and the Rev. Paul Schlueter will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service, Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Redeemer Lutheran Church Building Fund.
