Seymour Daily Tribune May 8, 2002 Leola L. Cravens Leola L. Cravens, 81, Brownstown, died at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at Memorial Hospital, Seymour. She had been in failing health for eight months. Mrs. Cravens was a homemaker and had worked at Rose Acre Farms and Spartan Industries. She enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting. She had lived in Jackson County for many years. Born Dec. 19, 1920, in Hoopeston, Ill., she was a daughter of Edgar and Florence Floyd Gross. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry I. and Gail Cravens, Seymour; a second daughter-in-law, Connie Cravens, Vallonia; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Roy Lee Cravens; three brothers, Leroy Gross, Berkey Gross and Avis Gross; and two infant sisters. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home, Brownstown. Burial will be at Mt. Eden Christian Cemetery, Washington County. Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until time of services Friday at the funeral home.
