Thelma Ruby Smith Daily, 85, Seymour, died at 6:20 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, at Heritage House of Seymour.
She was a member of New Hope Church of the Brethren and was a homemaker.
Born July 3, 1916, in Acme, she was a daughter of Hoyt Smith and Clara Mitchell Smith. On May 24, 1935, in Brownstown, she married Russell O. Daily, who died June 14, 1992.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Joe (Carol Jane) Schrink, Seymour; two grandchildren, Russell “Rusty” Schrink and Jerry (Julia) Schrink, both of Seymour; four great-grandchildren, Crystal, Ricki and Taylor Schrink and Whitney James; two brothers, Archie Smith, California, and Gene Smith, Florida; and two sisters, Dorothy Stanley, Kansas, and Della Ritchey, Greenwood.
She was preceded in death by a son, Joe L. Daily, and two brothers, Willie and Don Smith.
The Rev. Granville Murphy will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service, Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from noon until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or Central Christian Church.
