Seymour Tribune - August 23, 2009 Hilda W. Denny Hilda W. Denny, 79, Seymour, formerly of Freetown, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour. Mrs. Denny was a member of Freetown Church of Christ and of the ladies' group, Loyal Daughters. She had been a very active church member throughout her life. Most recently, she had worked for Irwin Management in Columbus and prior to that she had worked for 35 years as personal secretary to J. Irwin Miller at Cummins Engine Company. She retired on May 1, 1983. Born May 14, 1930, at Freetown, she was the daughter of James M. and Hazel Lela Wray Denny, both of whom preceded her in death. Survivors include a niece, Jackie (Matt) Rust, Seymour; one great-niece, Suzanne Davidson; one great-nephew, Scott Sullivan; and one great-great- niece, Mya Davidson-Bode. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn Scott and Ruth Ellen Denny; and one great- niece, Lela Davidson. Larry Tedrow will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Thursday at Freetown Church of Christ. Burial will take place at Freetown Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home, Brownstown, and from noon until time of service Thursday at the church.
