Seymour Daily Tribune January 4, 2002 Paul Ray Deppe Sr. Paul Ray Deppe Sr., 71, North Vernon, died at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, at his home. He was a car dealer for 50 years and had been owner of the former Deppe Auto Sales in Vernon. He enjoyed car racing, fishing and horse racing. He formerly owned race horses. Born July 10, 1930, in Indianapolis, he was a son of Thomas Deppe and Lillian Senior Deppe. On Jan. 14, 1956, he married Flonnie Poynter, who died Jan. 29, 1996. Survivors include four sons, Keith Deppe, Thomas Alan Deppe, Paul R. Deppe Jr. and Tommy Lee Deppe, all of North Vernon; two daughters, Pamela Vogel and Chasity Deppe, both of North Vernon; two brothers, Walter Deppe and Lorn Deppe, both of Indianapolis; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas Deppe, Robert Deppe and Harold Deppe, and a sister, Pauline Deppe. The Rev. Kenneth Corbin will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Sunday at Dove-Sharp and Rudicel Funeral Home, North Vernon. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice of Jennings County or the American Cancer Society
