The Tribune Seymour, Indiana Friday, March 12, 1897 Page 3 Death of Miss Maud Deputy. We received word last evening stating that Miss Maud Deputy, of Seymour, died at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, March 10, 1897, on the old homestead farm in Jennings county after a seriouc illness of three weeks, aged twenty six years. Deceased was for some time in charge of a case in the REPUBLICAN office. She was held in high esteem by all that knew her. She united with the M.E. church here under the pastorate of Rev. J.M. Baxter, and was devoted to her religious duties in the church. Her mother and sister, Miss Adda, who reside here have the tenderest sympathy of their many friends. The funeral was set for this afternoon at Mr. Zion. Rev. J.M. Baxter went down and conducted the religious exercises.
