Mattie P. Disney, 77, Seymour, died at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, at her home.
She was a homemaker and was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Born Jan. 15, 1924, in Metcalf County, Ky., she was a daughter of Joe Garland and Pearl Pennington Garland. On Sept. 19, 1981, in Seymour, she married James E. “Jim” Disney, who survives in Seymour.
Other survivors include two daughters, Thelma Louise Spray, Brownstown, and Donna Kay Hawkins (husband William), Columbus; four sons, Donald E. Spray (wife Ruth Ann), Brownstown, Richard Spray, Seymour, Gerald R. Spray, Freetown, and Jerry Spray (wife Rosemary) St. Louis; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Greathouse, Spraytown; and a brother, Jack Garland, Xenia, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by six brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren.
The Rev. Andrew Currao and the Rev. Paul Schlueter will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Thursday at Myers Funeral Service, Burkholder Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be in Spraytown Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association or donor’s choice.
