Seymour Daily Tribune December 27, 2006 Ronnie M. Doyle March 19, 1939 - Dec. 23, 2006 Ronnie M. Doyle, 67, died at 9:18 p.m. Dec. 23, 2006, at his residence surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy fight with his illness. Mr. Doyle was a maintenance journeyman and a Navy Veteran who served on the U.S.S. New Jersey and the U.S.S. Wisconsin. He was a member of the U.S.S. Wisconsin Association, and a member of Reddington Christian Church. Born in Lexington, on March 19, 1939, he was a son of John Doyle and Mardell (Birge) Hammond, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Merylee Ruddick Doyle in 1969 in Jeffersonville. Survivors include his wife of almost 40 years, Merylee; a stepfather, Roy J. Hammond, Madison; four sons, Rodney (Debbie) Doyle, Vallonia, Melvin (Laura) Doyle, Madison, Larry (Lori) Huber, Columbus, and Jerry Huber, Columbus; three daughters, Teresa Hilderbrand, Madison, Amy (Glenn) Robbins, Scipio, and Vicki (Marcos) Vasquez, Madison; two brothers, Roy D. (Sara) Hammond, Fortville and Larry (Crystal) Doyle, Greenfield; three sisters, Sandy Harper, Madison, Pam (Charles) Kline, West Lafayette, and Patty Bennett, Nineva; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, David Doyle; a daughter, Rebecca Jean Doyle; and a great-grandson, Zerrick Doyle. Pastors Bill Weaver and Scott Brown will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Friday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take place at Reddington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Reddington Christian Church.
