Seymour Daily Tribune William Leroy Dyer July 31, 2006 William Leroy Dyer, 79, of Seymour died Saturday, July 29, 2006, at his residence. Mr. Dyer attended First United Methodist Church and Seymour Harvest Church. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and the VFW. He was a U.S. Marine veteran who served as a rifleman in World War II. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed the Florida beaches. Born May 29, 1927, in Indianapolis, he was a son of Leroy Presley Dyer and Veneda (Moore) Brinley, both of whom preceded him in death. On April 24, 1970, in Crothersville he married Mary Zimmerman McCart. Survivors include his wife: Mary Dyer, Seymour; children: Gary Wayne (Felicia) Dyer, Seymour, Linda L. (Glenn) Henry, Crothersville, Peggy E. (Doug) Dyer-Bland, Waverly Ohio, Maryellen (Richard) Steward, Seymour, Scott William Dyer, Sarasota, Fla., Jeffery L. Dyer, Seymour, Paul (Trudy) Zimmerman, Waynesville, Anna (Dan) Mousa, Seymour, Donna (Gary) Boebinger, Nashville, Jewell (Ronald) Beier, Edinburgh, and Connie (Joe) Wayman, Seymour; 30 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister: Zelda Siebert, Seymour. He was preceded in death by one stepson: Eddie Zimmerman. The Rev. Gary Dyer will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Seymour Harvest Church. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery. Full military graveside rites will be conducted by VFW Post #1925, American Legion Post #89, Disabled American Veterans #47, all of Seymour. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Voss Chapel and from 12:30 p.m. until time of service Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be given to Schneck Medical Center Hospice.
