Seymour Daily Tribune April 23, 2002 William H. Eaglen William H. Eaglen, 61, North Vernon, died at 2:05 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2002, at Columbus Regional Hospital, Columbus. Mr. Eaglen was a retired supervisor with Columbus City Utilities. Born April 28, 1940, in Columbus, he was a son of Charles Wesley and Elfa Faye Patterson Eaglen who both preceded him in death. On Sept. 3, 1988, in Tennessee, he married Sherry Lauster Caudill and she survives. He also is survived by two sons, Danny Eaglen, Columbus, and Greg Eaglen, Reddington; five daughters, Tammy Helton and Becky Stipek, both of Indianapolis, Sonnie Rhoades, Seymour, Leslie Pollitt, Columbus, and Rachel Sage, Paris Crossing; a stepson, Danny Caudill II, Columbus; a stepdaughter, Dana Jones, Scipio; 20 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Tommy Eaglen, Columbus; and two sisters, Mary Moffitt and Brenda Manns, both of Columbus. He also was preceded by two brothers, Bobby Eaglen and Charles Eaglen Jr. The Rev. Jerry K. Day Sr. and the Rev. Burt Powell will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Myers Funeral Service, Hathaway-Myers Chapel, Columbus. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery, Columbus. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Jennings County Humane Society.
