Elsie Mae Ellis

Elsie Mae Ellis, 65, Butlerville, died at 6:23 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
She worked for Regal Rugs for 35 years, retiring May 18, 2001. She collected angels and porcelain dolls. She attended Nebraska Church of God.
Born June 30, 1936, in Williamsburg, Ky., she was a daughter of Clyde Edward Baird and Ruby Lee Clapps Baird. In August 1975, in North Vernon, she married Robert E. Ellis, who survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Judy Ellis, Butlerville; a brother, Jessie Baird, Butlerville; and a sister, Bertha Callahan, North Vernon.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Horace Elbert and Sterling Baird, and a sister, Selma Wanda Perry.
Patrick Harrigan will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Monday at Pickett Funeral Home, North Vernon. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of Jennings County.
