Seymour Daily Tribune January 26, 2002 Blonie L. Nichalson Elmore Blonie L. Nichalson Elmore, 84, Seymour, died at 4 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, at her home. She had been in failing health for two weeks. Mrs. Elmore was a member of Central Christian Church and was a homemaker. Born Jan. 3, 1918, in Jackson County, she was a daughter of George C. Nichalson and Mamie Rockey Nichalson. On July 31, 1935, in Jeffersonville, she married Curtis Elmore, who died Jan. 12, 1984. Survivors include three sons, Richard (Patty) Elmore and Herbert Elmore, both of Seymour, and James (Joan) Elmore, Hayden; a daughter, Richard (Janet) Bobb, Seymour; three granddaughters, Brent (Tammy) Dove, Brian (Dodi) Bowman and Susan Elmore; six grandsons, Jay Elmore, Craig (Chris) Elmore, Kenneth Elmore, Michael Bobb, Mark (Janet) Bobb and Matthew (Kim) Bobb; 10 great-grandchildren, Alexandra Dove, Ethan Dove, Lauren Bowman, Caroline Bowman, Adam Bowman, Jason Elmore, Chantel Elmore, Nicole Elmore, Emily Bobb and Morgan Bobb; three stepgreat-grandchildren, Glen (Tina) Sawyer, Bobbi Sue Sawyer and Mark (Holly) Sawyer; and three stepgreat-great-grandchildren, Ashley Sawyer, Alissa Sawyer and Cassidy Sawyer. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Dianna Elmore Milliman; a brother, Clyde E. Nichalson; and two sisters, Rosa E. Davis and Maud Eda Heacock. The Rev. Sam Davenport and the Rev. Luz Maiuri will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Monday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service, Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Central Christian Church Building Fund or donor’s choice.
