Ruth (Brackemyre) Elsner
1923 - 2008 
Ruth Elsner, 85, Seymour, passed away Oct. 11, 2008 at Lutheran Community Home in Seymour.
Mrs. Elsner was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. She graduated from Bethesda Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati, and worked as a registered nurse at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour until her retirement in 1985. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting and Bible study.
Born Sept. 9, 1923, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Jacob A. and Berta June (Meyer) Brackemyre, both of whom preceded her in death. On Oct. 30, 1950, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jennings County, she married Ambrose Elsner, who preceded her in death on May 10, 1992.
Survivors include her daughter, Lisa (Dennis) Runge; sons, Timothy (Sandy) Elsner, Thomas Elsner, Pete (Kelley) Elsner; six grandchildren, Mike and Christina Runge, Samantha, Andy, Daniel and Samuel Elsner; and dozens of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Marie Warinner; brothers, Keith Brackemyre, H. Paul Brackemyre, J. Allen Brackemyre, George Brackemyre, Wilford Brackemyre; sisters, Grace Imlay, Wilma Davis, Harriet Miller and Elizabeth Traylor.
Father Todd Goodson will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
