Seymour Daily Tribune January 2, 2007 Evelyn Biggs Everroad June 15, 1919 - Dec. 30, 2006 Evelyn Biggs Everroad, 87, died Dec. 30, 2006. She had been residing in a nursing home in Orlando, Fla., since Oct. 2005. Mrs. Everroad was a 1937 Shields High School graduate. She was a member of the softball, track and field, tumbling and varsity cheerleading squads. She was first runner-up in the 1938 Miss Seymour Pageant. Evelyn Everroad was born Evelyn Marie Biggs in Seymour, on June 15, 1919. She was a daughter of Clarence and Theresa Huber Biggs. In 1941, she married Harry William (Bill) Everroad of Columbus. He preceded her in death. Over their 41 years together, they lived in New Orleans, Wichita Falls, Kansas, Des Moines, Iowa, Oklahoma City and Marion, Iowa where they owned Everroad Sales and Service. Possessing a beautiful singing voice, she sang in numerous church and barbershop choirs throughout her life. In the years after Bill's death in 1982, Evelyn moved to Indianapolis, Las Vegas, Hawaii and Orlando, Fla. to be near family. Survivors include four children, Terry (Esa) Everroad, Spooner, Wis., Sue Everroad (Culle) Reid, Kailua, Hawaii, Lynn Marie Everroad, Hood River, Ore., and Andy Everroad (Rich) Taylor, Orlando, Fla.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sisters, Nellie Biggs Pierce and Mary Biggs Morgan; brothers, Delvan Russel Biggs, Wilber Biggs, twin infant brothers, Earl Herbert and George Hubert Biggs and granddaughter, Jessica Everroad. A memorial service and reception will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at First Christian Church, 1970 N. Wabash Rd., Marion.
