Seymour Tribune - August 28, 2009 James V. Fisher "Jim" Sr. James V. "Jim" Fisher Sr., of Seymour, and formerly of Scottsburg, passed away Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour. Mr. Fisher was a retired accountant for Fisher's Tax Service in Scottsburg and also a retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service and a U.S. Army veteran. He was the son of John Henry and Cretia Mae Gee Fisher, both of whom preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Cobb Bowling-Fisher, Seymour; a son, James V. Fisher Jr., Kona, Hawaii; two daughters, Laura Beth Condry and Amy Sue (Steve) Dudley, both of Seymour; a stepdaughter, Tammy Bowling, Seymour; a stepson, Terry (Amy) Bowling, Indianapolis; a brother, Carl Fisher, Loveland, Ohio; a sister, Katherine McGlone, Demossville, Ky.; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Beth Joy Fisher, who died June 11, 2000, and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Collins Funeral Home, Scottsburg. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 11:30 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
