The Tribune Seymour, Indiana July 26, 2012 Franklin Fred Fish 1933-2012 Franklin Fred Fish, 78, Jamestown, Florida, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at his residence. Mr. Fish joined the U.S. Air Force in 1952 and was stationed in several different cities and countries as part of his 25-year service. In 1953, he was stationed at Castle Air Force Base near Merced, where he met Hughson native Corrine B. Libby. They wed in 1954. He served two tours in Europe over seven years. He served in the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1970. He earned numerous honors throughout his military career, including a Bronze Star. He retired in 1976, and moved to Modesto, California, where he bought and remodeled a home. He later moved to Knights Ferry before settling in Jamestown, California, 13 years ago. He enjoyed traveling, and he and his wife often would caravan with friends in motorhomes. They visited nearly all 50 states. He also enjoyed fishing at New Melones Reservoir. Mr. Fish was born in Bedford. He was the son of Clarence and Joy Fish. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Corrine "Connie" Fish, Jamestown; children and their spouses, Franklin Ray (Judy) Fish, Colorado Springs, Colo., Diane G. Hislop, Sonora, Kenneth A. (Kerrie) Fish, Modesto, and Kevin D. Fish, Modesto; brother, Charles Fish; grandchildren, Kristy (Dermot) Healy, Rebecca (James) Gomez, Jennifer Fish, Hank Hislop, Heather (Chase) Jackson and Jared Fish; and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Fish was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Joy Fish; son, Anthony "Tony" Fish; brother, Mike Fish; and sister, Barbara Ray. A celebration of life will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Rawhide Mobile Home Park clubhouse in Jamestown. Arrangements were handled by Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home.
