Seymour Tribune - July 10, 2008 Elvina Irene Forgey Elvina Irene Forgey, 84, a resident at Lutheran Community Home, Seymour, and formerly of Freetown, passed away at 5:04 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at the Lutheran Community Home, Seymour. Mrs. Forgey was a member of the Freetown United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and had retired from the housekeeping department at Jackson Park Convalescent Center. Born April 23, 1924, in Jackson County, she was a daughter of Oscar and Mary (Bowman) Weekly. She married Russell Phegley, who preceded her in death; she then married Harold Forgey, who preceded her in death. Survivors include three children, James (Sandi) Phegley, Ogilville, Betty (Roger) Fox, Columbus, and Rick (Monique) Phegley, Freetown; two sisters, Evelyn Spurgeon, Columbus, and Laura Mae Sullivan, Freetown; eight grandchildren, Dawn Gardner, Seattle, Leticia Miller, Greenwood, Randall Phegley, Columbus, Gregory and Emily Fox, both of Columbus, Heather Gross, Seymour, and Rusty Phegley and Tim Phegley, both of Brownstown; and eight great-grandchildren, Hanna Wilson, Alexis Gross, Ethan Gross, Madolyn Gardner, Libby Gardner, Jessica Griffen, Kimmie Griffen and Dorian Griffen. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Weekly and Raymond Weekly. David Ison will conduct funeral services at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Freetown United Methodist Church. Burial will take place at Freetown Cemetery, Freetown. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home, Brownstown, and from 8:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the church.
