Seymour Tribune - June 6, 2009 Mrs. Margaret Louise (Peters) Foster 1917 - 2009 Margaret Louise Foster, 92, Seymour, passed away at 9:45 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2009, at Lutheran Community Home in Seymour. Mrs. Foster was a 1936 graduate of Shields High School. She worked as a homemaker, raising four children, and also worked part time through the years at the Shirt Factory, J.C. Penney and delivering mail. She enjoyed sewing and all types of crafts. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she served on Ladies Aid 1. She also was active with the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. Born April 10, 1917, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Henry John and Lena Marie Rueter Peters, both of whom preceded her in death. She married William Russell Foster on April 17, 1938, in Seymour, and he preceded her in death after 49 years of marriage on Oct. 19, 1987. Survivors include a daughter, Karen Sue (James) Schlehuser, Columbus; three sons, Roger E. (Betty) Foster, Indianapolis, William R. (Susan) Foster, Edmond, Okla., and Gary W. (Cathy) Foster, Marietta, Ga.; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Henry Jr. and Ervin "Pete" Peters; two sisters, Dorothy Schultz and Gladys Ferry; and a nephew, John Ferry. The Rev. Ralph Blomenberg will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Monday at Burkholder Funeral Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Seymour. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
