Seymour Tribune - June 2, 2009 Mrs. Marjorie (Quade) Fox 1926 - 2009 Marjorie Fox, 83, Seymour, passed away at 12:32 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour. Mrs. Fox was a member of First Baptist Church of Seymour and the Rebekah Class. She graduated from Shields High School in 1944, and from Indianapolis Methodist School of Nursing in 1947. She was an office nurse for Dr. W.H. Shortridge, Dr. Kenneth E. Bobb, 2 North Head Nurse at Bartholomew County Hospital from 1953 to 1955 and Inservice Education Director at Jackson County Hospital from 1962 to 1974. She was a member of the American Nurses Association, Indiana State Nurses Association District 13, elected four-year member of Indiana State Nurses Council on Education, and a charter member of Region XI Continuing Education and Review Committee. Born April 4, 1926, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Charles H. and Imogene E. Glasson Quade, both of whom preceded her in death. On May 14, 1955, in Seymour, she married James E. Fox, who preceded her in death Jan. 19, 1996. Survivors include a daughter, Betsy Eileen (Daniel) Fleetwood; son, John Charles (Kay L.) Fox; six grandchildren, Aaron, Zachary and Nathan Fleetwood, Kristen (Mathew) Wilson and Benjamin and Christopher Fox; a great-grandson, Liam Clinton Wilson; a sister, Joyce Alling; nieces, Janis (John) Adams and Jane (James) Spencer; and a nephew, Kenneth (Nancy) Alling. The Rev. Larry Tingle will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
