Seymour Tribune - October 17, 2009 Myra Elaine (Black) Fuquay 1957 - 2009 Myra E. Fuquay, 52, Medora, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, at her residence. Mrs. Fuquay was a member of Brownstown Church of the Nazarene and was employed by Tumbleweed Inc., Seymour. She was active in the Columbus Indiana Emmaus Community and volunteered at the Pregnancy Care Center, Columbus. She was a member of the Gideons Auxiliary in Jackson County and enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family. Born June 30, 1957, in Jackson County, she was a daughter of Edgar Black, who survives in Brownstown, and Lillian Fleetwood Black, who preceded her in death. On June 30, 2001, in Gatlinburg, Tenn., she married Gary Fuquay, who survives. Other survivors include children, Tom (Heather) Gross, Seymour, Trisha (Troy) Burns, Crothersville, Terry (Crystal) Gross, Vallonia, and Michael (Angela Wallace), Seymour; one brother, Justin (Norma) Black, West Union, Ill.; one sister, Judy (Kenneth) Fisher, Bedford; and five grandchildren, Haley Gross, Gatlin Gross, Ethan Gross, Alexis Gross and Quintin Gross. She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother. Pastor Ben Durr will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Monday at Brownstown Church of the Nazarene. Burial will take place at Guthrie Creek Cemetery, Lawrence County. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 1 p.m. until time of service Monday at the church. Arrangements were handled by Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home, Brownstown.
