Seymour Daily Tribune November 24, 2006 Richard B. Furst Richard B. Furst, 78, Seymour, died at 7:10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 23, 2006, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour. Mr. Furst graduated from Delphi High School. During his adult life, he was a farmer and was employed as a road driver for McLean Trucking for more than 30 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of Disciples of Christ Church in Logansport. He was also a member of the Million Milers Club, where he received several awards. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family. Born July 30, 1928, in Carroll County, he was a son of Levi and Kaythryn Schwartzentraub Furst, both of whom preceded him in death. On Nov. 9, 1945, in Delphi, he married Beverly J. Landes, who survives after 61 years of marriage. Other survivors include a son, Michael Richard Furst, Michigantown; two daughters, Linda K. Furst, Seymour, and Kathy S. (Brian) Fox, Memphis, Tenn.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, John (Barbara) Furst, Elizabethton, Tenn., and Peter (Ann) Furst, Birmingham, Ala.; and two sisters, Mary (Don) Kelly, Delphi, and Ruth (Tom) Loveless, Lafayette. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Furst. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the donor's choice.
