Seymour Daily Tribune April 8, 2002 Jean Fyfe Jean Fyfe, 70, North Vernon, died at 3:10 a.m. Sunday, April 7, 2002, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital, North Vernon. Mrs. Fyfe was a 1949 graduate of Shortridge High School, Indianapolis, and was a retired clerk for Indiana National Bank. After moving to North Vernon she was employed as an associate at Wal-Mart in North Vernon for 12 year. She was a former member of Country Squire Lakes Community Church, a former member of CSL Board of Directors, and a current member of CSL Ladies Christian Circle and CSL auxiliary. She was secretary of St. Vincent Jennings Hospital Guild, volunteered in the hospital gift shop, and was a volunteer for Hospice of Jennings County. She was a member of First Baptist Church, North Vernon, and enjoyed reading, travelling and playing bingo. Born Aug. 27, 1931, in Redkey, she was a daughter of William Howard Taylor and Jessie Marcella William Taylor, who both preceded her in death. On Sept. 30, 1950, she married James Clifford Fyfe and he died Aug. 22, 1997. She is survived by two sons, Gary Lynn Fyfe, Rising Sun, and Fred Fyfe, Shelbyville; a daughter, Patti Ann Moore, Indianapolis; a brother, David Taylor, Indianapolis; a sister, Penny Lynn Taylor, Grand Rapids, Mich.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a son, William Clifford Fyfe; a brother, Jimmie Lee Taylor; and a sister, Karen Sherman. The Rev. Bob Weeks of First Baptist Church will conduct memorial services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Dove-Sharp and Rudicel Funeral Home, North Vernon. Friends may call from noon until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Jennings County through the funeral home.
