Seymour Daily Tribune January 30, 2002 Alfred Gaffney Jr. Alfred Gaffney Jr., 76, Casselberry, Fla., died Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, at his home. Mr. Gaffney was a retired salesman and manager in building materials with McCormick’s Building Materials, Columbus. He moved to Central Florida in 1973 from Columbus, where he lived for 30 years. He was of the Nazarene faith. He was a member of Moose Lodge 766, Orlando, Fla., and his hobbies were woodworking, bowling and remodeling. Born May 10, 1925, in Seymour, he was the son of Alfred Gaffney Sr. and Esther England Gaffney. He married Gladys M. Philpott, who survives in Casselberry. Other survivors include a son, Edward F. Gaffney, Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Carol Clark, Orlando, Fla.; a brother, John Gaffney, Seymour; two sisters, Betty Quillen, Seymour, and Wilma Jean Quillen, Columbus; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The Rev. Mike Caroline conducted funeral services Jan. 17 at Newcomer Family Funeral Home, Winter Park, Fla. Burial was in All Faiths Memorial Park, Casselberry, Fla.
