Seymour Daily Tribune March 4, 2002 Drucilla J. Gearries Drucilla J. Gearries, 64, Scipio, died at 5:45 a.m. Sunday, March 3, 2002, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Mrs. Gearries attended Vernon High School, was a member of First Apostolic Church of North Vernon and a member of the ladies’ auxiliary of the church. She was a certified nursing assistant for Luther Home Health Care of Columbus. Born in Indianapolis, she was a daughter of Duard and Gertrude Allee Litton. On July 7, 1974, in Versailles, she married Smith A. “Dickie” Gearries, who died July 9, 1997. Survivors include three daughters, Pam Perdue, Scipio, Penny Bray, Paris Crossing and Tammy Yokley, Indianapolis; a son, Rick Bray, Indianapolis; 12 sisters, Ilonda Hendricks and Karen Barrett, both of Butlerville, Pat Clark, Westchester, Ohio, Roberta Meeker, North Vernon, Martha Osborn, Stockdale, Texas, Juanita Coulter, Hope, Alice Beach and Cindy Vanosdale, both of Holten, Christina McDougall, Martinsville, Bessie Mullins, Nebraska, and Ruth Large, Elizabethtown; four brothers, Duard Litton, Indianapolis, Gale Litton, Martinsville, Jack Mote and Charles Allee, both of Nebraska; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Litton. The Rev. John Willis will conduct services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Myers Funeral Service, Reed and Jewell Chapel, 3729 25th St., Columbus. Burial will be in Garland Brook Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from noon until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
