Seymour Daily Tribune February 25, 2002 Ruby Belle George Ruby Belle George, 81, Norman, died at 5:35 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2002, at Hoosier Christian Village, Brownstown, after an illness of three months. Mrs. George was a homemaker and a pie baker. She was a 1938 graduate of Clearspring High School and was a member of Liberty Christian Church, Norman. Born April 26, 1920, at Norman, she was a daughter of Bert and Ora Fish Porch. On Dec. 24, 1941, at Brownstown, she married Harry D. George, who survives. Other survivors include a daughter-in-law, Roseanna George, Norman; a sister, Ilene Pogue, Freetown; seven grandchildren, Larry D. and Kelli Reynolds George, Norman; Jim and Heidi Gaffney Teegarden, Lafayette, Colo.; Amber Gaffney Young, Norman; and Phil and Autumn Gaffney Stump, Norman; and 11 great-grandchildren, Ashley George, Kristin George, Michaela George, Jacob Lett, Brian Garza, Kenneth Young, Devon Young, Kyrsten Stump and Austin Stump, all of Norman, and Claire Teegarden and Cole Teegarden, both of Lafayette, Colo. She was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth D. George and Jerry W. George, and a grandson, Terry D. George. Allen Pogue and Ronnie Plumer will conduct services at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Brownstown. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery, Norman. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Liberty Christian Church.
