Lucille D. Gerth services Monday
Lucille D. Gerth, 73, of 615 N. Elm St., Seymour, died at 11:18 a.m. Friday at Jackson County Schneck Memorial Hospital after being ill for two years.
She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and a lifelong Jackson County resident. She worked at Gerwin Shoe Factory in Seymour and Excello Shirt Factory in Seymour.
Born Oct. 20, 1913, in Jackson County, she was a daughter of William H. and Olive E. Martin Alexander. On April 29, 1933, she married Arthur H. Gerth in Indianapolis. He died Feb. 11, 1979.
Survivors include two sons, James Gerth, Seymourn, and William Gerth, Joliet, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs Robert (Dorothy) Rude, Seymour; two sisters, Della Jaynes, Seymour, and Norma Wright, Crothersville; 14 grand-children; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Seymour with the Rev. Joseph Sheets officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 8:30 a.,m. to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Voss Chapel in Seymour.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ambrose Catholic Church or Mass. A rosary will be conducted at 7 p.m. Sunday at Voss Chapel in Seymour.
