Seymour Tribune William A. Gerth May 18, 1942 - Sept. 8, 1994 William A. "Bill" Gerth, 52, of Lakeworth, Fla., died at 8 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, 1994, at his home after being in failing health for over a year. Mr. Gerth was employed with Mobil Oil Co. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Shurch, Seymour; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 655 and Knights of Columbus, both of Seymour; and the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lakeworth. Born May 18, 1942, in Seymour, he was the son of Arthur H. and Lucille D. Alexander Gerth. On Oct 11, 1968, in Tennessee, he married Jan Brewer, and she survives. Other survivers include two daughters, Kim Dover, Evansville, and Amy March, Florida; two sons, Tracey Gerth, Florida; and Matthew Marsh Alaska; a brother, Jim Gerth, Seymour; a sister Mrs. Bob (Dorothy) Rude, Seymour; and six grandchildren. The Rev. Joseph Sheets will conduct services at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Seymour, with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Monday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service, Voss Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at Voss Chapel, Memorial contributions may be given to the St. Ambrose Catholic Shurch, Seymour, Mass, or donor's choice.
