Seymour Daily Tribune April 4, 2002 Alice Myrtle Gilbert Alice Myrtle Gilbert, 84, Prattville, Ala., died at 1:25 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2002, at Baptist Prattville Hospital, Prattville, Ala. Mrs. Gilbert was a member of Fountain City Baptist Church, Prattville, Ala., and she was a homemaker. Born May 30, 1917, in Groton, Conn., she was a daughter of Edmund Stockford and Alma Kitchen Stockford. On Feb. 15, 1935, at New London, Conn., she married Theodore Renaldo Gilbert and he preceded her in death Sept. 12, 2000. She is survived by a son, Wayne D. Gilbert, Medora; two granddaughters, Lee Ann Gilbert Gray and Brenda Lynn Gilbert Gore; three great-granddaughters, Caroline, Elizabeth and Grace Gore; a brother, Robert Stockford, Milton Mills, N.H.; and a sister, Alma Redmann, Quaker Hill, Conn. She was also preceded in death by six brothers, Harry, Charles, Edmund, Lyle, John and George Stockford; and three sisters, Grace Johnson, Hope Chapman and Margorie Jenkinson. The Rev. Stan Thomas and the Rev. Gary Morning will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hague Funeral Home, Medora. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown. Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 1 p.m. until time of service Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Theodore R. Gilbert Scholarship Fund or the Medora Christian Church Building Fund.
