Robert Eugene Glasson Sr.
Robert Eugene Glasson Sr., 73, North Vernon, died at 12:05 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2002, at Memorial Hospital, Seymour.
Mr. Glasson was retired as a shop foreman at Thurston Implement Co. in Greensburg.
Born March 7, 1929, in Seymour, he was the son of Millard and Lillian Leslie Glasson. On March 27, 1948, in Columbus, he married Jo Ann Southern, who survives.
Other survivors include eight children, Robert E. Glasson Jr. and Gary, Tim and Bruce Glasson, all of North Vernon, Linda Beck, Fort Myers, Fla., Janice Parks, Greensburg, Kevin Glasson, Bloomington, and Mike Glasson, Clarksvile, Tenn.; two sisters, Norma Elkins and Charlene Shafer, both of Columbus; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Jerry Johnson will conduct services at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Norman Funeral Home in Hope. Burial will be in Garland Brook Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
