Seymour Daily Tribune Lois Louisa Goecker Dec. 9, 1921 – June 1, 2006 Lois Louisa Goecker, 84, Seymour, died at 2:40 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2006, at Lutheran Community Home. Miss Goecker attended Tampico High School and Seymour Business College School, prior to her employment as an accounting clerk. She was employed at Reliance Mfg. Co., GC Murphy, Agrico Chemical Co. and Goecker Building Supplies until her retirement in 1991, after 17 years of service. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Dudleytown, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She also participated in the church choir and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and served as memorial clerk from 1973 to 2003. She was a member of Lutheran Child and Family Services, the Hospital Guild, where she served as treasurer, and volunteered at Lutheran Community Home and Schneck Medical Center. She loved to do needlework and play cards. Born Dec. 9, 1921, in Jackson County, she was a daughter of Henry William and Ida Annetta Klinge Goecker, both of whom preceded her in death. Survivors include her brother, Gerald Goecker, Brownstown; her sister; Ora (Harlan) Boxman, Seymour; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, Ollie and Bruno Goecker. The Rev. Scott Kozicek will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Monday at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Dudleytown. Burial will take place at Emanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Dudleytown, after the service. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday at Burkholder Funeral Chapel, Seymour, and from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday at the church. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran High School; Emanuel Lutheran Church, Dudleytown (150th Anniversary Fund); the American Cancer Society; or the donor’s choice.
