David M. Goen

David Milbourne Goen, 61, Bedford, died Thursday night at Veterans Hospital, Indianapolis. He had been ill for two months.
Mr. Goen served in the U.S. Army and was a laborer, working chiefly as a maintenance worker. He was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of Disabled American Veterans.
He was born Oct. 1, 1924, in Jackson County to Simon Goen and Addie Blanche Brown Goen. His mother survives in Medora.
He was married Aug. 1 1946, in Bedford to Dorothy Aline Jones who survives.
Other survivors include a son, David Michael Goen, Bedford; a daughter, Susan Hawkins, Chapel Hill; two brothers, Simon Goen, Medora, and Stanley Victor Goen, Leesville; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hague Funeral Home, Medora, with the Rev. Ray Philips officiating. Burial will be in Dixon Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
