Virgie M. Goen, 49, of Medora died at 3:17 a.m. Tuesday, Aug 4, 1998, at Bedford Regional Medical Center.
She was a homemaker.
She was born July 31, 1949, in Jackson County. her mother was Dorothy Hunsucker Kisere, who is deceased.
On May 19, 1970, she married Cletus A. Goen in Sparksville, and he died in October 1989.
She is survived by a son, David Goen of Medora; a daughter, Melissa Goen of Medora, three brothers, Robert Kiser of Vallonia, Franklin Kiser of Seymour and Donald Kiser of Medora.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James Kiser.
She was a member of the Pentecostal Church.
Her funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Hague Funeral home in Medora with the Rev. M.I. Walls officiating. Burial will be in Brown Cemetery.
Persons may call at the funeral home between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Thursday and at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Friday.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
