Seymour Daily Tribune Bobbie O. Gray October 27, 2006 Bobbie O. Gray, 83, Brownstown, died at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006, at Hoosier Christian Village, Brownstown. Mrs. Gray served as a WAVE in World War II (Navy). She was a member of Brownstown Christian Church, Pythian Sisters, the American Legion and the Red Hat Ladies at Hoosier Christian Village. She had worked as bookkeeper for Brownstown Heating and Plumbing for several years. Born Jan. 10, 1923, in Santa Claus, she was a daughter of Hezzie and Esther M. McDaniel Harris, both of whom preceded her in death. On Sept. 8, 1941, in Brownstown, she married Hugh L. "Jeff" Gray, who died May 8, 1994. Survivors include five children, Michael "Mick" (Myrna) Gray, Vallonia, Tom (Gayle) Gray, Brownstown, Jack Gray, Little York, Terry Gray, Crothersville, and Tammi (John) Hackman, Vallonia; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; and a special caregiver, Penny England. She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Walter Harris; a brother, Lloyd Harris; an infant sister, Anna Harris; two sisters, Margaret Kennedy and Marie Davis; a great-granddaughter, Hannah Langdon; and a daughter-in-law, Garnett Gray. Ken Jurgens and Paul Huddleston will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Saturday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home, Brownstown. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown, with military graveside rites. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hoosier Christian Village Auxiliary.
