The Banner - November 3, 2009 Max T. Gray Max T. Gray died Oct. 14, 2009, at HPH hospice in Dade City, Fla. He was born Sept. 8, 1935 at Ewing, a son of Raymond and Leora (Wright) Gray. He graduated from Brownstown High School and received additional education from IUPUI in Columbus and Indianapolis. He was employed in management at Cummins Engine Co. in Columbus and ultimately retired from Mesteck Corporation in Farmville, N.C. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling as well. He was a member of Brownstown Christian Church and later became a member of Ogilville Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of over 55 years, Carolyn Childers Gray; three children, Thomas W. Gray of Zephyrhills, Diana L. Gray Smith of Guymon, Okla., and David J. Gray of Plainfield, Ill.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by three siblings, Eythel Gray Hubbard, Megan Gray Defibaugh, and Thomas Gene Gray. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Fairview Cemetery in Brownstown. Hodges Funeral Home, Zephyrhills, Fla., is in charge of arrangements.
