Seymour Daily Tribune January 24, 2002 Ross Edwin Greathouse Ross Edwin Greathouse, 21, North Vernon, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, in Bloomington. Mr. Greathouse was a senior at Indiana University, Bloomington, majoring in geography. He played varsity soccer at Jennings County High School during his freshman and sophomore years. He attended the Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics and Humanities his junior and senior years. He played varsity soccer for Muncie Burris. He enjoyed snowboarding and juggling. Born April 27, 1980, in Columbus, he was the son of James M. Greathouse and Phoebe Greathouse Greemann. His mother survives in North Vernon. Other survivors include his stepfather, Thomas M. Greemann, North Vernon; a sister, Jaime Greathouse, and her husband, Russell Warlick, Cincinnati, Ohio; two stepsisters, Ellen and Katherine Greemann, both of Seymour; a stepbrother, Alex Greemann, Seymour; paternal grandmother, Maxine Greathouse, North Vernon; maternal grandmother, Suszane Gilliland; aunts and uncles, Melinda and Jeff Siebert, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Larry and Julie Greathouse, Donna and Howard Malan, Judy and Joe Eder and Susan and Kevin Beal, all of North Vernon; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Harold Greathouse, and his maternal grandfather, Larry Gilliland. The Rev. Ralph Blomenberg will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour. Burial will be in Summerfield Cemetery in Selmier State Forest. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Vance-Fisher-Sawyer Funeral Chapel, North Vernon. Memorials may be given to the Indiana University Geography Library.
