Seymour Daily Tribune Mary Jean Gregory August 15, 2006 Mary Jean Gregory, 33, Seymour, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, at her residence. During her growing years she was in Brownies, Girl Scouts and Rainbow. She lived in Seymour until she graduated from Seymour High School at which time she joined the U.S. Army, 795th MP Bn, at Fort McCellan, Ala. After an injury she was discharged, receiving a disability. Born Dec. 24, 1972, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Hubert and Betty (Hoskins) Gregory, both of whom survive. Other survivors include two brothers: Dwight (Kandle) and Douglas (Sara) Gregory; uncles: Paul M., Dr. Richard O. (Marlene), Russell (Judy), Roland (Marsha), Roger (Mary), Marion, and Lynn (Linda) Gregory, Raz (Sarah) and Douglas (Anna) Hoskins; one aunt: Jewell (Walter) Morgan; and several nieces and nephews: Payton Marcus, Laikyn, Noah, Sydney, and Lutisha Gregory. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Paul B. & Mary Lutisha Gregory, and Theodore and Oma Jean Hoskins. The Rev. Gary Dyer will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Thursday, at the Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery with full military graveside rites to be conducted by the VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post #89, Disabled American Veterans #47 and Vietnam Veterans #7, all of Seymour. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial may be given to the family for funeral expenses.
