Seymour Daily Tribune March 6, 2002 Frieda E. Grelle Frieda E. Grelle, 95, Seymour, died at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at Lutheran Community Home, Seymour, after an illness of two months. Mrs. Grelle was a homemaker and was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Seymour. She was a 50-year member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Brownstown, and a 50-year member of the Ladies Aid and Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. Born Oct. 14, 1906, in the Sauers community, she was a daughter of Edward and Caroline Schepman Eggersman. On Sept. 15, 1929, in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sauers, she married Alfred Grelle, who died March 21, 1981. Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn (James) Shoemaker, Vallonia; a daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Grelle, Seymour; 10 grandchildren, Steve Grelle, David Grelle, Cheryl (Mike) Clark, Lisa (James) Seniours, Sandy Grelle, Teresa (Dale) Pottschmidt, Barbara (Kevin) Wehmiller and Pamela (Terry) Stuckwisch, all of Seymour, Mike Grelle, Indianapolis, and Jane (Randy) Turmail, Vallonia; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Marvin Grelle; four brothers, Albert, Fred, Martin and Emil Eggersman; and a sister, Emma Lambring. The Rev. Paul Schlueter and the Rev. Andrew Currao will conduct services at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Seymour. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery, Brownstown. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Brownstown, and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Friday at the church. Memorials may be given to Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, Redeemer Lutheran Church or St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
