Seymour Tribune - October 11, 2009 Hugh Raymond Grim Hugh Raymond Grim, 96, formerly of Seymour, passed away Oct. 9, 2009, at St. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital, Louisville, Ky. Mr. Grim was born in Highland County, Ohio, on March 19, 1913, the son of Frank and Austa Grim. On March 26, 1940, in Franklin, he married Dorothy Kallembach, who preceded him in death on June 5, 2001. Hugh was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Ohio State University. He accepted a job with Noblitt Sparks, now Arvin, in Greenwood, in November 1935. He worked in Greenwood, Franklin and Columbus for 15 years and was made plant manager in Greenwood in 1946. He was transferred to Seymour in 1950 and was plant manager until 1963. He was then transferred to the Gladstone Plant in Columbus as manager and retired in 1978 after working 43 years for Arvin. He served on the original board of the Jackson County United Fund, the Jackson County Hospital Board and the Chamber of Commerce. He served on the Boys and Girls Club board for 40 years, was a member of the Rotary Club, Elks Club and a past member of the Country Club. Hugh is survived by his daughter, Karen (Charlie) Bobb; grandchildren, Darby (Jody) Grim, Kevin Bobb, Jason (Lori) Bobb and David Bobb; great-grandchildren, Aaron Grim, Julia Grim, Lindsey Bobb, Kaitlyn Bobb, Allison Bobb and Elle Bobb; and a brother, Howard Grim. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Jack Grim; sister, Dorothy VanNoy; and brothers, Richard and Paul Grim. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Cherry officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Voss Chapel and from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the church.
