James Kelly Guthrie
James Kelly Guthrie, 53, of Nashville, Tenn., and formerly of North Vernon, died Monday, March 4, 2002, in Nashville.
Mr. Guthrie was a Nashville artist whose work is displayed in many restaurants and nightclubs in that area.
Born Nov. 18, 1948, in North Vernon, he was a son of Rowan Guthrie and Rosemary Verbarg Guthrie. Both survive in North Vernon. His wife, Shannon Guthrie, survives in Nashville, Tenn.
Other survivors include two sons, James K. Guthrie Jr., Alaska, and Taylor Guthrie, Nashville, Tenn.; a daughter, Shayna Guthrie, Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Greg Guthrie, Westport; and a sister, Barbette Guthrie, North Vernon.
A memorial service was conducted Thursday in Nashville. A private committal will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery in North Vernon.
