Seymour Daily Tribune - Thursday, July 19, 1973 Mrs. Hackler Dies, Services Set Saturday Mrs. Myrtle A. Hackler, 74, 108 Elm Street, Brownstown, died at 4:20 a.m. today at Schneck Memorial Hospital. She had been in failing health for five years and seriously ill for one week. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Zabel Funeral Home in Brownstown with Evan Bolejack, pastor of the Brownstown Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call at the Zabel Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Friday. A native of Seymour, Mrs. Hackler was born May 15, 1899, to the late John and Margaret Elliott Russell. On April 20, 1917, in Vallonia, she married Harley C. Hackler, who preceded her in death in October of 1961. Mrs. Hackler lived in Indianapolis until 1959, when she moved to Freetown. In 1961, she moved to Brownstown. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Clifford Lockman, of Brownstown; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hackler was preceded in death by one son, Floyd R. Hackler, in 1962, four brothers and one sister.
