Gladys L. Hackney, 94, Seymour, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2006.
Mrs. Hackney was a member of Seymour Church of Christ and was a homemaker.
Born Aug. 26, 1912, in Williams, she was a daughter of Albert and Mary Craig Reuter, both of whom preceded her in death. On Feb.16, 1933, at Williams, she married Glenn Hackney, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon (Marshall) Howard, Seymour, and Shiela Reames, New Albany; four grandchildren, Debra (William) Smith and Douglas Howard, both of Seymour, Jon (Kristen) Reames, Nashville, Tenn., and Shannon (Bruce) McKinney, Tampa, Fla.; and five great-grandchildren, Ashley and Richard Smith, Seymour, Mason and Colton McKinney, Tampa, Fla., and Jon Tyler Reames, Nashville, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Reuter, and a sister, Lenna Trueblood.
Services will be private, with a public memorial service at 6 p.m. Friday at Charlestown Road Church of Christ, New Albany. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour.
