Seymour Daily Tribune March 9, 2002 Virgil Walter Hallow Virgil Walter Hallow, 81, of Seymour died at 10:04 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2002, at Lutheran Community Home, Seymour. Mr. Hallow was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Elks Lodge 462 and Lutheran Layman’s League. He retired from Farm Bureau after 25 years. Born Nov. 17, 1920, in Jackson County, he was a son of Walter Hallow and Elizabeth Mellenbruch Hallow. On Dec. 25, 1949, in Dudleytown, he married Edna Kilgas, who survives in Seymour. Other survivors include a son, Timothy (Patricia) Hallow, Seymour; two grandchildren, Christopher Hallow and Jordan Hallow; a sister-in-law, Mildred Hallow; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Victor Hallow, and two sisters, Rachel Stahl and Selma Kretzer. The Rev. Philip E. Bloch and Vicar Jimmy Rodriguez will conduct services at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service, Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Seymour. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran School, Lutheran Community Home or donor’s choice.
